Behind the Shutter

Hi, I’m Emily—the photographer behind Shutter & Co. Photography, a mother of five, and someone who knows just how quickly life changes.

My own family is beautifully real: full of different personalities, neurodivergence, noise, laughter, challenges, and love. That is why I am not searching for perfect poses or perfectly behaved children. I am looking for the little connections that make your family yours—the hand reaching for yours, the unexpected laugh, the quiet comfort, and the moments you may not realize you will miss until they have passed.

Photography gives me a way to preserve those pieces of life before they change. My goal is to create images that feel honest, emotional, and deeply personal—so years from now, you do not just remember what this chapter looked like.
