Apply for the Faces of Autism Project
Thank you for your interest in the Faces of Autism Project.
This portrait and storytelling project celebrates autistic children, teens, and adults as whole people- not as a diagnoses, stereotypes, or expectations. Each session is thoughtfully shaped around the participant's personality, interests, communication style, sensory needs, and comfort level.
Who Can Participate?
Autistic children, teens, and adults of all ages are welcome to apply. A parent, guardian, caregiver or support person may complete the application when needed. Returning participants are also welcome to participate again.
What Participation Includes
Participation includes a relaxed portrait session designed around the individual. Families and participants may also share a short story, reflection, or description that helps others see the person beyond the diagnosis.
With permission, portraits and stories may be featured on the Shutter & Co. Photography website, social media, and in the annual Faces of Autism showcase.

Completing this application does not automatically confirm a session. After reviewing your information and availability, I'll contact you to discuss the session, location, accommodations, permissions, and next steps.
